On Apr. 27, Spicoli's Reverb announced their last day of food takeout, marking its final days as a local food source. The very next day, they updated their profile picture on Facebook, indicating the change of the venue's name to "Spicoli's Reverb: Concert Hall & Rock Museum."

"Thursday, April 30 is our last Taco Take-Out for a while," said the venue in an official statement. "We'll find a way to bring it back in the future... We're closing up as a bar/restaurant/venue and moving into storage until we can book and plan concerts again."

However, today at 10:38 a.m., the venue made a public announcement declaring their restaurant and bar are officially out of business.

"We are effectively out of business as a bar and restaurant," said the announcement. "...For the next year, we will be bunkering down and planning for the future of live music, post-Pandemic 2020."

Spicoli's Reverb will also be moving away from their current location on University Avenue. They have not yet announced where the new location will be. In the following week, the venue will be offering bar stools, tables, chairs and other items for sale. All money raised will go to their "museum fund."

In the meantime, the venue will still be running art auctions like they have been as well as band livestreams and promotions. In other words, the venue is still in business.

The whole announcement can be read below.
